My auto dimming rear view mirror always worked fine turning green when direct light hit it. Then I tinted my rear, and now when people are behind me the light doesn't seem "that" bright but my mirror doesn't turn green anymore.

I'm am almost sure its because of the tint, but I just wanted to confirm that it is the tint causing this situation, and it is completely normal.

BTW, yes the auto - dimming feature is on. And the tint is a metallic nickel color with a 20% grade in the rear.
