Default I need to know what this is called and where I can get it already painted.

I just bought a 2005 Nissan 350Z and I love it! The problem and question I am having is I need a part identified. It is a little plate behind the passenger side front tire screwed in with 4-way screws. It's kinda like a mud flat I suppose but hard plastic. Anywho, it is scratched up pretty bad from the previous owner. Must have dragged the vehicle on the payment somewhere. Anyway, I need to know where I can buy it cheap and it already painted. Or maybe a junk yard somewhere. Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

Either Chrome Silver or Silverstone. I think the paint code is stamped somewhere in your driver's door jam.

There have been about a half dozen silvers over the years. Click on the Top 100 Questions thread link in my sig. Down at the bottom of that thread you'll find a list of all paint codes. You can also look on the ID plate inside you door jamb to get the code. It's also stamped into the back left side of the firewall.

+1.

Since you have a 2005 model year, I believe it will either be Chrome Silver (the lighter variant) or Silverstone (darker). Also, you can look in your driver side door jamb for the paint code. It should be either KY0 or WV2.
