I have no gap

 

I work at a Honda dealer and found that the 2009 Honda CRV antenna fits perfect. S2000 too large at the base. Was less than 20 bucks.I don't remember exact cost. There are two different types.One has swirls and one is smooth.I got the smooth one.Looks and works great.

 

Acura RDX antenna, reception is the same as stock

 

Is there anything that provides better than stock reception?

How do you modify the stock antennae?

 

I have the S2000, reception is either the same as Nissan or better. Love it and you can buy them usually for about 15 bucks at a honda dealer.

+1 on the RDX antenna. It cost me less than $10 and the reception is great.

 

Thats what people have done and it looks like crap. If you're too cheap to get a avenger antenna for $6 then cut your antenna... I'd also recommend switching to a civic or a scion.

 

I have the s2k and it works great looks good too!

 

Honda Element antenna on mine. Pretty much the same as the s2k antenna.

 

I got some Dodge antenna for 5 bucks.

I found out that the antenna on a 2009 Prius fits the Z at the base better than the Honda Element or the 2000. It's the same length as the Element and 2000 but looks like a CB Firestick antenna. I hacked one up and there is no actual wire that runs and spirals up the side. It's a ricer antenna LOL.

I still like the one I made out of a Honda Element antenna, chopped and capped. Doesn't work as good hacked up but looks ok. I keep another one for long trips. Egh who am I kidding I just pop in a CD if I get no stations.

 

i can't seems to find the RDX antenna on ebay!! :S
