Question for those with the custom fit 350z sunshade
Hey guys,
I had a question for those with the custom fit sunshade they sell at the dealer. I am in need of a new sunshade. The sun/heat here in Florida is so bad (and year round) that I go tru a few sunshades a year (they all eventually start sagging down and/or cracking in a few months).
I usually will go to an auto part store or walmart and get the 9 dollar ones with the dual bubble material. The work pretty good for a while, the only minus, like I said is they eventually start to sag down in the middle or crack.
I was looking into the one in courtesy nissan and was wondering of any experiences with it. I see it can be rolled up pretty easily which makes me think it's pretty thin and flexible.
I've had some thin ones before and they just could not take the florida heat (went bad after literally a couple of weeks), they seem to have been made for light sun only, maybe a couple of months per year (as in the northern states).
Anyone in Florida/Texas can chime in on these? We get 90'-100s most of the year here, and somehow a thin sunshade makes me wonder how much it really will protect. However, it claims lifetime warranty and since I go tru at least 2-3 per year of the 'cheap ones', it might be worth it....

Take a look at the sunshade from the z store. I have this one and if nothing else it fits perfectly.

I have the one from the dealership, all though the two dealerships around me sell different brands but they look exactly the same. Fits great, when installed there is about 1/2 inch gap on the top but it doesnt make a difference. I love mine it keeps the interior way cooler then without. I used the fold up circle ones and they suck, the dealership one actually works.
Best thing about it, i dont burn my hand on the steering wheel or shifter when its been parked all day.
Worst thing about it, takes up space, i roll mine up and put it behind my seat.
