Nismo v1 front bumper install concerns and alignment
Im plannin on buying a nismo front bumper replica or just getting a lip and getting my stock bumper repainted(clear coat chips). Id rather get the nismo front but people have been tlking me out of it because of fitment issues. Hows the fitment and install on the replicas and wheres a good place to get them? Are all replicas the same? About how much should it cost to get it painted chrome silver?
My Body shop told me $385 for paint and install of a Aerosync N-Style Polyurethane Front bumper. It looks the same as the Nismo v1. This place has a good price http://www.gruppe-s.com/350z/zext.htm its where I got my sides and I will be getting my Bumper from them also (in a few weeks) the price for paint differs with area
Damn thats a nice front bumper. Now im torn between the two. I like the carbon fiber canards on he nismo one tho. Can you get them for that bumper? Anyone else have a price they paid to get a bumper painted?? Or a price for install and paint for those that didnt do it themselves?
Here is a big thread about that bumper https://my350z.com/forum/exterior-an...nt-bumper.html This is how I am going to paint mine but with chrome silver

Auto Infantry V2 ftw. Fittment is almost perfect if those guys are using same M1 mold. Find them in Marketplace (Super Replica thread)

I know that installing factory front bumpers is easy because holes are already drilled and everything lines up. i was just worried that buying an aftermarket front bumper it wouldnt line up correctly and id have to pay to have it done.
I was talking about a replica bumper, above ^.
The V2's are know to be one of the best fitting replicas (depending who you get them from) and holes are pre-drilled.
All i had to do on mine was drill out the holes alittle bigger to fit properly. It took all of 30 minutes to get them right, and the extent of my life-long body shop type experience is taking my front bumper off and on....one time, before i did this.

Its pretty tough dude. You wont find that many replicas in poly, or authentics for that matter. FRP has made some advancements in the past years.
FRP is the way to go, and cheap/easy to fix if you do crack. I worry to, but you'll quickly get over and learn to watch how you drive.
