kit looks good. color isn't my cup of tea. also, he could have gone with better looking rims. but, as a whole...good looking show car.

Two tone...is the new thing these days. But i dont know about painting the gas cap blue. Maybe it may have looked better if the entire top half of the car was painted blue. Or maybe a darker blue??? i'm so confused. I dont like it, but he went through a lot of trouble.
The wheels BTW are courtesey of Nitto and GFG.

could be...but looking at the reflections in the surface, it looks very solid.

when i saw the colors he picked..i thought "you gotta be kidding me"....i know there is such thing as personal taste...but it looks as if he picked the worste two colors..he definately didnt take any advice we gave him
I just saw his car in person about 3 hours ago and I have to say without hesitation the pictures don't do it justice and the car looks great. There was always a big crowd around it and the feedback from others at the show was extremely postive. Please keep in mind that this is a "showcar" and therefore you have to take things to the extreme. The body work and blending of the fenders and spoilers is excellent. BTW the blue paint is Corvette Electric Blue or something like that (I don't remember the yellow but close to Ferarri yellow I believe). As far as the dash and door panels, they were wet sanded and then painted. Again, a very professional job. I missed what the story with the rims and tires was but I know they were custom made. He is still running stock suspension which is why it looks a little high.
Please keep in mind that he busted his butt to get the car ready for this show and did a great job. The car was "outrageous without being "obnoxious". If I had to vote for the best 350Z at the meet, his car would bet my vote!
As far as sponsorships owning you, that is completely false! If I knew what your address (or phone number) was, I would use my extremely accurate Alpine Navigation System (with crystal clear sound fed through Boston Acoustics speakers and amplifiers) to speed over to your house with my Procharger equipped Z. I wouldn't have any problems with the incredible power of the ATI supercharger thanks to my Eibach lowered car communicating to the Pirelli P-Zero Rosso Tires and Maido GR5 rims that would keep my car "glued" to the road to tell you that in person...

IMHO.... I think the car looks great overall...the two tone concept is good, but looks better on the orange/brown veilside......maybe if he would have painted the roof blue as well to give the color some continuity instead of an abrupt break in the texture/ smoothness of the color line along the top.... the blue used could have been better in a different shade, and maybe would've looked nicer if he had kept the brickyard color instead of the blue. I give it an A- for color scheme, but an A+ for overall appearance.... it does look awesome!
well i realize that sponsorships can be good, they are very rarily FREE. Congrats on the work, i'm sure it looks better in person. I'd like to throw my .02 in, at least paint the gas cap so it matches the color of that area.
BTW the Veilside car isn't brown & orange. It's a carbon fiber hood and carbon fiber on the bumper. The roof and rear half are painted gunmetal to match the color of the gun metal on the wheels.

In any event, here are a couple of shots of his car that are a little truer to the color of the yellow and blue.
Roger, you are right. Your pictures definitely give it a much better perspective. The bodywork looks amazing. I think I would've liked to see it all one color but then again I'm conservative that way.
For a show car the two-tone effect looks great. If it were my car I probably would've chosen a different color combo but everyone has different tastes and to each his own.
I respect him for his color choice and I can tell you they did an awesome job with it. Congrats thackattk.
Roger, please post more pictures you took at SEMA. I would love to see your pictures of the other cars (including yours
) with the quality as shown in these pictures.
