Default Manufacturers Warranty

I have an 08 touring with 24k miles Frost Interior.

I was closing my door this afternoon and my finger nail (I'm a male with short nails) scratched the driverside electric window panel. It completely removed the paint from where it was scratched against the cover. .125" by .75" area is devoid of paint.

If this covered under warranty? If not what should I say? I believe the part is like 75 from courtesy parts but I feel like it's a poor coating and there have been other issues from other years with chipping issues.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I highly doubt they'll replace it under warranty because of a scratch. I take care of mine pretty well but they still get scratched up either way. Someday I might just take them off and repaint them black

My car was the same when I bought it. The dealer repainted them for me, but after 2 months they were all scratched up again.
I think you should just repaint them with better paint.
they aren't that hard to remove, there are a lot of guides.

I'd say just repaint them and throw on a few layers of clear coat to keep the paint from chipping again.

It would probably depend on the dealer. I've read where some had theirs replaced and some whose dealers would not replace them. It is a gray area as far as the warranty goes. Quality vs. wear and tear. Mine were replaced along with some other pieces, but have scratches again, probably from my wife's nails since I'm very careful with them. Just ask and see if they will replace them. You might get lucky.

Default Color Code

Can I get a color code or does Nissan sell it in a spray paint form? I need the Grey/Frost color or I wouldn't be asking.

I have an airbrush that I would apply it with if I cannot pick it up in a can of spraypaint.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. Honestly, that is my single largest complaint about the interior of the car, the interior parts just scratch too easily.
