Default Gauging Interest on a new look?

OK guys and girls. I have come up with a new idea/look. Before I go out and become a vendor and try to sell these, I need some feedback from you all.

Try your best to be nice if you dont like it!

But your input I would like to hear.

It changes the look of your hatch (C-Pillar, Rear window area)

Before

After 1

After 2

... I've been scrolling at the before/after pictures for about a minute. What are we looking for, exactly? Whited-out side markers?

Oooh I see it now...interesting. Wouldn't work well with black cars =)

I'm going to pick up an issue of "Highlights" now, good luck.

The only thing I see different is the camera angle.

Yea, I was waiting for people to say what is it

Take a look at the back window section of both cars. It's called a C-Pillar Effect (In my words).

Oh oh oh. I see what you did here. Visually deceptive. Looks good.

looks nice. It looks good both ways.

What exactly are you selling though? Can't you just get that portion painted?

Well, I am not selling anything yet. This is just to see what people think and if they would like this to come to market.

Sure you could paint it- But what I have is priced around $40! Try painting it for $40..

It's a special 3M air release Vinyl.

Wow if you guys didnt post it i would of never noticed. Anyway an overlay would be nice but will it damage the paint I've heard of discoloration over time. Nic little mod for $40 though

There is no discoloration. I use only 3m Vinyl. Its super high end stuff that is considered "upgrade" material when Graphics shops do vehicle wraps.

The only that that might fade is your car color over time and the color under the graphics would remain the same. That would take years.

I actually like the look. FWIW, I wouldn't pay $40 for it though. Priced at $20, I might. So at that price point, I wouldn't do it. I'm not saying that $40 is too much, but you asked for feedback.

I understand, but for both sides and all the stuff you need to install it, $40 is a deal. All the pieces to install it ship with it, Razor blade, prep liquid, spray bottle with solution, video installation, ect ect.

I could just sell the cut out graphics and let the customer get all the needed items to do the install? That would lower the pricing, but this might lead to people not doing it correct. ?

I dont know about most of you, but evertime i wax the hatch, and then clean the quarter window, i adore the shape every time. I prefer the look of stock but thats definately a cool idea you have there. I would dig it on other peoples cars though (i couldnt sport it either way, mag black here). It reminds me a bit of an Audi R8 from a profile, or a rreeaaaalllyyyyy stretched audi TT coupe, maybe thats why i dont favor it, I am not too much for things that resemble other cars. I dont know thats just my thought, i can be wierd about little things like that at times!!

I think the price is very reasonable, cutting out most the DIY and making it very "kit-like" makes it well worth the money for those folks that arent very.....well.... DIY saavy.

from me!
