Yeah those gouges are bugging all the time.
I got it at Carmax Nissan and I checked all there new cars on the lot and they all have front lisc plate. I can't really argue with them anymore cause of that.

My dealership has the same thing: all the cars have drilled holes. But I explained how unreasonable it is that the screws that were used to affix the plate to the plate holder were WAY to d@mn long, thus making gouge marks that should not be there.
Holes, I can't justify, but the gouges are just plain negligence.... by Nissan (not necessarily your dealership) since they are the ones that put those front plate assembly kits together. I explained that is my choice if I don't want the front plate holder to be on there... and that I would deal with the holes, but definitely not the gouges through the clear coat and paint. They finally budged.

Good advice. Im going to try that. I will post more pix with better lighting and cleaner bumper today.
It looks pretty flushed. I tried using a civic bumperplug but it didn't fit quite right. These are just like little screws.

Let me follow up on this one (wow, resurrected from last year!

This solution is best as it is the most cost efficient as well as A LOT better looking than holes in the front. If you already have touch-up paint, then the cost of this mod is less than a dollar
