replaced steering wheel, now the steering wheel isnt straight
I replaced the steering wheel on my 04 z with a new steering wheel due to my old steering wheel's leather beginning to peel. I followed the guide at 350z tech and everything went fine, but at the end when I took it for a drive while the steering wheel is straight, the car goes to the right. In order to go straight, instead of the steering wheel being at 12oclock, I have to put it at 7-8oclock. Anybody have any suggestions? I can still drive fine and its no real issue, but it just looks and feels weird

You didn't align the wheel perfectly (even though I'm sure you thought you did) when you installed the new one. You can try and uninstall it and reinstall it again but chances are you still won't get it perfect. Your other option is to take your vehicle into a shop with an alignment rack and have them straighten it out. The latter might be a good idea if you are due for an alignment anyhow.

It is easier to align the steering wheel when you have the front wheels in the air or on rotating pads. They do it this way on alignment racks but you can use a straight edge. Also be sure to turn the wheel to the left and right several times before settling in the middle to get it straight.
