What are you talking about even the oem seats are just covers also.

Ok... at first i thought that he had sewed in the red leather into oem seats.

Then, i searched ebay for it and found covers that go over oem and you just stretch and tie tight.

Finally i reallize after double back reading, that these are replacement leather, probally the best option anyways.

Awsome job OP.

I had custom leather seats on my Z, i really loved their quality as well. If anyone looking for leather, check out Katzkin too.

THe link you provided are covers, they go on top of the oem seats. The one's i have are actual replacements correct, you have to take off the original leather/cloth and put the purchased one's on.

Tools needed; hog-ring pliers (10$~), your own staples (optional, i have purchased them just in case, they cost around 3$ for.... 3000? or so...

DIY i posted in the previous page i believe, regarding katzskin or whatever, i have heard of them, they do make good products as far as i can see but i have no personal experience with them.

Good luck

man some people just don't get it, they think OEM leathers are actually good. OEM isn't even full leather~

OEM cloth or leather they are all just covers.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...#ht_3946wt_944

This is the link to the buyer i have used, i can vouch for him, good luck and happy bidding/buying. Takes about a week to receive, i believe he places order to china and then they send it out once they put the seats to geather.

FYI, i believe the seller is of foreign descent so use simple language and explain and double check if he understood the order. by the spelling sounds like hes asian :P and im sure he has to communicate with asia/china to put an order though for the job.

These are not bad orange seats if you have sunset orange car, but to each hes own =)

Also; just quick info, katzkin are not 100 1:1 oem look, they have an extra fold down the back of the seat, there should only be 1 horizontal fold at the top (thats how the actual foam inside the seat is, so it may cause discomfort because of a line going across your back, or it will be abrorbed by the foam, OR you can cut alittle foam off to make it perfect so the fold stays where it should, but thats altering the oem foam/seat which is an iffy subject.

Good luck and post your results !

I ordered mine last Wed. hopefully they will be here by next weekend. Now I have a set of OEM set of leater seats, with the OEM heater switches and wiring harness for sale. $550.00 this includes shipping to continental US.

This is a great thread, I would love to get my burnt orange recovered in red leather with suede inserts.

I think I will most likely take it to a professional though, I'm sure I would just F it up.
