I have a project for my car I am working on and just need to buy a small can of automotive spray paint for my car. Is this something I can just get from the dealer or is there a good site someone can recommend?

http://automotivetouchup.com/ has 12oz spray can Acrylic urethane, which is better imo than lacquer or enamel. Very good colormatch from my experience(magnetic black G41). Their high build primer is good too. You will need a clearcoat to make it match the factory shine, followed by wetsanding and buffing to flatten out the rattle can texture. You can buy the clearcoat from them, but it is lacquer and is readily effected by mild solvents and lacks UV resistance and hardness. A spraycan clearcoat that you might consider is called "Spraymax 2k". It is a 2 part urethane clearcoat in a rattle can. Once it's activated, however, it only has a work time of 24hrs.
