Default carbon fiber air duct

I finally got the courage to cut into my bumper and install my air duct. Once I got past the fear of first cut it was simple. My box cutter made easy work of the plastic bumper, but the instructions left it cockeyed! I followed the guide as shown. It shows a vertical line to align with the head light trim and after cutting into the bumper and installing it I realized that it was crooked. I was driving around for two days with a crooked air duct until I fixed it. It just didn’t look right. I had to shave the hole on the upper right side to shift it up and line it up with the bumper trim instead. It doesn’t quite match up either way. You either line it up with the bumper trim or the head light. After following the instructions I decided my way is better. Here are some pics of the finished product.

I think the sun reflected off that billet grill and distorted your sight. Looks about as lined up as any I have seen. Good work.

Not sure if i should paint it when i get my front lip, or leave them both black. Anyone have pics of an unpainted carbon fiber front lip? Might look good with the black and silver theme I've got going.

Looks fine to me. I've always wondered how much a difference those ducts actually make.

I agree, two can look better if executed properly:

Wow I don't like the two at all. One looks good. It probably doesn't help performance one bit, but it looks good.

Little to none. There is no ram air effect, and temperatures are only affected early on (low speeds), before the flow profile evolves into one that flows over and not into the duct area.

Looks nice and clean, OP. Well done.

the dual setup is beyond hideous looks like dino nostrils. Plus you can clearly see the one on the left is an upside down version of the right one, it looks horrendous.OP your duct looks a lil crooked

They make one for the left side and one for the right side, I've bought both. the 07-08's
need both sides.

The bumper placement looks straight and aligned to me. I will say that it's not in the same spot as mine is...

Looks sweet... The dual is too much for me though, being that my 04 only has one airbox too.

Where you can buy that mesh grille at? Is it easy to install? Been searching around and can't find it.
