Default Hole in firewall

I was talking to some one guy and he was explaining to me that drilling a hole over a certain diameter through your firewall to run a power cable, could result in salvaging your car. I tried looking it up online and found nothing about it.

Let me know if you guys heard anything about this.

There is a rubber boot under the passenger side windshield exterior plastic. Cut a tiny hole in that and use that.

+1. My crank sensor wire for my unichip runs through there. Make sure you use silicone to seal up around the wire, or else rain water will run into the car.
