I backed into my GF car, but i'm blaming her. Should i get replacement bumper?
I'm 32, and also make 50k+ a year and my Z is sitting there with a busted lip and a dented fender from where an idiot hit it with their door while I save a little from each paycheck to get a ASM bumper and new fender. If I didn't have any bills I could work a little overtime and cover that in 2 checks.
I'm sure its awesome having a Nismo, though I would have taken that Supra anyday at 18. Enjoy it.
Seriously though, have you ever thought about how much that car would be costing you if you had no help? You couldn't have gotten the loan by yourself in the first place, but if you got lucky and found someone to do it, your interest rate would be through the roof and the term on the loan would be shorter, so payments would be much higher. Insurance would be 300 a month. By the time you put gas in it and stopped to get a burger your whole check would be gone.

Yea, I know that I am very fortunate that my parents helped me with my cars. There is no way in hell that I could have had these nice cars without them. Although I do pay for everything related to the cars, I couldnt have done it without my parents.
OP, ASVAB and your conditioning level have nothing to do with you passing a-school and buds. You gotta have heart. Spent four years in the Army myself and went through SF selection. Made it through and got selected but couldn't go to school cause I jacked up my hip in the process. Even if you pass, you still aren't guaranteed a spot.
Man that would suck, all that work and they dont give u a spot.
Shouldn’t there be a forum post somewhere in cyberspace titled, “My stupid-*** boyfriend backed into my car, smashing up the front end of my lovely Honda Civic”.
Now if he (Johneden88) was to spend an equal amount of effort in getting her car fixed first, before fussing over his rear bumper cover etc, it would be a nice bonding experience for them. However, since this doesn’t seem to be the case, my advice to miss girlfriend would be to leave your car bashed up for the time being. Wait patiently without complaining for said boyfriend to get the back end of his Nismo repaired to perfection, then ram it with your still wounded car.

Oh they gave me a spot, but on the condition that I could get my hip better. Which never happen....

haha yea i apologized to her. Fortunately her car cost less than a rear bumper for my cars gonna be and she said she honestly dosent give a ****. That and it didnt do anything to her solid metal car! A few little scratches on hers and my whole bumper is messed up.
You mean the stock black interior, stock black paint, stock wheels spray bombed black with a 1 inch drop with the only tint being on the rear hatch? The one you picked up a few months ago after selling the blue STI you blew up? Do you still have "HAHA V8" as your vanity plate?

Okay, sorry to resurrect this thread but lets see if I can get a little bit more advice out of this forum. I am debating between buying a brand new bumper or just having it repaired by this place called the "bumperdoctor" in Marietta, Ga. The only brand newbumper I can find is off of mynismo.com and that will be about $1000 after shipping. There is a used bumper in the marketplace for $450 that needs new paint, but the guy dosent resppond to messages and there is damage in the description, but I cannot actually see what the damage is. The "bumperdoctor" is very nice and helpful and I sent them pictures of the damage and they quoted me $475-$500 and that is with a guarantee that it will look 100% brand new. But the only problem with that is that it does not include paint, that is only including being primed and ready for paint. So it will be another $200 or so on top of that for the paint.
So if somebody with some past experience or general knowledge of body work could chime in and tell me if it is possible, and guaranteed, that my bumper can be repaired to 100%, or if I should just give up on the bumper repairs and go ahead and buy a brand new one, I would appreciate it. Also, if anybody knows of any other place that I can buy a brand new authentic nismo rear bumper, besides mynismo.com, it would also be greatly appreciated.
And heres some pics of the damage: I dont know why, but I cannot get the links to work. Just go to my photobucket account, http://s373.photobucket.com/home/johneden88/index , and you will see the album with the messed up bumper in it.
Thanks

Buy the new one.
$450 for one in the marketplace yet the guy doesn't respond. I wouldn't go down that road.
$475-$500 for paint. So your close enough money wise on getting the new one.
Does the new one come already painted? If so, get the new one. I would get the new one reguardless but that's just me.

Damn, I thought it came painted, but after proceeding through checkout I realized that they never ask you what color you need.
