Well guys, first mod. Tinted half of my turn signal/reverse light. I'm a total noob so i'm still in the learning phase. Chances are I'm not going to go crazy modding the car until next year due to the fact that I bought my house and car at the same time. I know its a 2005 but I did not want a car payment lol. Thus far its been 7 months since I bought it.

I do have an idea of which direction I want to go but will take time. Flame/Critique away.

Your second mod should be a shorty antenna . By the way, if you were going for the Euro look, only the left side is half clear, half red (for the fog lamps). Congrats on the Z!

 

Yeah i've seen the euro rear fog. It requires some rewiring so i'll eventually buy it and get it installed. I originally wanted to red out the entire light but the guy didn't have it. I bought it from blue batmobile.

Coolest thing about this mod is it comes off easy. LOL. If I get enough EWs, i'll take em off. Trial and error kinda thing. I didn't want to black out the tails and signal lights cuz everyone has that around my neighborhood (there's 4 Zs in total in the neighborhood). They AALL blacked out their tail and signal. I need more opinion.

 

I think it's kind of interesting looking. I don't know that it would work with all colors, but it's kinda neat. Definitely a "1st".

You are already making smart decisions. Good luck with the modding. I think it is better to hold off doing anything for a year anyway. That way you allow the more stupid ideas to come and go before you spend any time and money.

 

I would say dump it. I would just change the bulb to a red one. I would definitely add window tint though.

Thanks for all the input folks. I guess being different was sorta what I was going for. I really love how it looks at night when I use the turn signals. The flushed red looks great when lit. However, I do need to purchase some red bulbs now as well.

I actually have a friend who does professional tints and offered to do all my windows including front windshield for $100. I’ve been contemplating on tints because I don’t know if I want the fear of driving past cops and always being paranoid of being pulled over.
Thank you. I test drove a 370z before purchasing my Z and the hardest thing I ever had to do in my entire life was say NO to the 370. Dealer wanted 36,500 out the door for it. At the time I was re-doing my driveway and gut renovating my entire house so had to settle for the 05. House looks nice tho 

I like it , and unlike smoked tails, its legal to have red turn signals.

LOL, I guess you can call it redded out but I just wish they made cut outs where it covers the entire light including reverse lights.

Thanks for the inputs and it's growing on me by the day. I bought this car for $18000, its a 2005 touring with everything except navi. When I purchased the car it only had 22k miles on it. Some people told me Its only worth 16k and for 18k I could have gotten a 06+. The thing is I had searched for months and couldn't find what I was looking for. I love the white (blond) leather and heated seats and I wanted a car with very very low miles. I drive about 20k miles a year. So i'm content with the purchase. It is a daily driver but I also have a sentra for snow days.
