Default How to open rear signal/backup lenses?

Anyone know how to open the rear signal/backup lens housings? There are several tabs that seem to hold the clear lens to the black housing/reflector, but bending back the tabs doesn't do anything to loosen the lenses. Are they also glued together? Thanks in advance for any assistance?

Thanks, guys. I'll fire up the oven this weekend and see what happens.

I'm making some custom LED boards for the inside, and luckily I've got a cheap, spare set to experiment on. Except for the HID units, the rear signal/backup lights are the only filament bulbs left on my car, so I might as well go all the way. Hopefully nothing too ricey, and I'm going to try for a different, but OEM, sort of look.
