Their pricing seems to be almost too good for VIS products (VIS didn't know how they were capable of the pricing they gave me).

Anyone that has ordered from them recently, did your parts come in VIS boxes? Or was VIS stamped on them?

Just want to make sure I'm not paying for one thing, and getting another.

Who manufactures VIS's parts, then? Does VIS have their own part manufacturing facility? Or do they use a 3rd party manufacturer?

How confident are you that VIS supplies your specific part to DTM? Rather that DTM buys part directly from VIS?

How do you know they dont take a mold of a VIS or authentic part and get manufactured themselves. M1 did this.

He posted that the parts he sells are indeed VIS. Just wondering from people that have ordered from him if that is actually the case.

He also posted that VIS is one of MANY of their suppliers.

Point is, your asking a question you may never get a straight answer to, except from vendor if honest.

If it comes in a VIS box that doesnt mean anything. M1 used to partner with VIS for cheaper freight shipping, hence, my V2 came in a VIS box even though it was not made by VIS. It wouldn't suprise me if DTM does the same.

If the price is too cheap to be VIS, even at VIS wholesale price, then it prob isnt.

 

Furthermore, what does it matter if its VIS or not?

If its thick FRP, and it fits well, who cares?

 

I know the fitment of the VIS products that I want to order... if it's not VIS, then the fitment may be off quite a bit, and I don't want to have to return it or get charged an *** load from my body shop to fix it.

So, I am doing what you're asking, making sure the fitment is going to be good.

Specifically then, people who have ordered from DTM:
Have you bought a chargespeed rear w/ cf replica , or an Amuse front replica? And was the fitment as good as the people who got them from VIS?

Fitment is diff on every kit, but my kit in the past was fine, and my new kit is fine too. Please search for that thread, and make sure to tell robert you read about it.

They have sent me 2 vis kits now, and all arrive in vis boxes..they are right nearby.

laast thing.. irving at vis had my kit in stock ready to roll.. i asked HIM about dtm and he said np, they can come get it ,( same deal.. they are just a very tightly related group is all) ..... but i wanted carbon laid over some of it.. so Robert at dtm picked the kit up FROM vis and they carbon wrapped it up w 1x1 weave to match my VS hood.... they brought it back to vis to ship for sure.. so its a mixed bag, but just ask for robert... Marwins cool, but he talks too fast for me man. haha.

SO hit up RObert specifically and tell him what you want. They will sell you a decent kit.

 

i hear ya man.. what im saying is taht if you call robert and ask if he can get the VIS kit you want, he will say yes and go get you a VIS kit. Im a guy in scottsdale az.. im not afil w any of these peeps. Buuuuut check my statistics.. threads started by me, etc.. the3 nDTM thread is in there...and youll feel better about your purchase.. they advertise chargespeed #ss ends overlayed w carbon fiber too.. ive seen thier pictures, it looks fine.

 

Hmm, I hear what you're saying. But now I wonder if they order the regular VIS chargespeed kits and CF wrap them themselves.

Either way, I think I need to see someone that's bought one from them before I take the chance.
