Default 831_Z33 Transformation

My car is now ready to get a new look and i wanted to share the transformation. I am going to paint the car and add a couple of parts. Im still debating over the Nogaro red or the 370z base red color. I want to do a red color but cant seem to decide. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Here is the before pic....

This is the list of parts i will be installing. I will add updates during the process.

Mastergrade Hatch
Mastergrade pillars A&B
Mastergrade roof panel
Mastergrade/TS rear diffuser
V2 front and sides

Possibly the seibon 10mm wider fenders if i have enough......

Nogaro Red looks very nice. I haven't seen a red 370Z though so I can't compare.

Your new mods look a lot like the stuff I just installed on my car, good taste in parts I guess.....As for color, try and go a red that is not offered by Nissan to give it a more custom look. Don't get me wrong Nogaro red is nice, but choose a color that is unquestionable, not OEM....I mean all the money your dropping for new paint, go for a different red (non nissan) Just my 2cents....Good luck and I am looking forward in seeing finished product.

roof. lol. jk yeah ive been eye balling these parts for a while to me i think it looks
clean. You are right i just cant find another nice red. I know audi has a nice
red. Ill look in to that as well. I just want a red that is not dull and grabs attention.

I personally find the 370z red to be stunning and i am a painter and z enthusiast its also better to stick with a color on a vehicle as apposed to a custom color for lots of reasons. even better to stick with a Z's color in my opinion but its up to you.
I think i have seen you around i live in the 831 and work in watsonvile painting custom motorcycles on occoasion. If you wanna save some money and get a rediculiously good paint job pm me, me and my partner have a combined 22 years of painting cars at body shops, i take extra care of Z's.

Yeah i definitely read about that. So many people had issues with this hatch. luckily i bought the hatch from a member here that had it on his car. Fit perfectly. Got lucky.

I have decided to go with the red used by Audi. Its called brilliant red. I found a picture of an R8 that has this color. I think it looks dope. Check it out....

Did your mastergrade hatch come with the stock panels? For my mastergrade hatch, we had to alter it quite a bit to get it to fit, but we could not get the stock panels to properly fit on the inside. Either way good find on your hatch, saved you from a lot of headaches
Can't wait to see the finished product......

lol i know. Heres is a little backround of why i am doing this.....

Last year i purchased a CF hood from seibon. 1 day i was getting on the freeway to go home when all of a sudden i hear a loud thump and just see pitch black. The latch somehow broke off the hood and it flew straight in to my windshield. My window was cracked, My fenders were bent. And my roof looked like a little chubby kid was jumping on it. To top it off i broke of a piece of my INGS front by hitting a sidewalk. I didn't want to go through my insurance so i paid for all the expenses. Everything is fixed with the exception of my roof and bumper. I decided to just do a whole new look on the car so i saved some cash and have it painted. Long story short. Its been a long time comming.

Thought i would revive this Thread started last year

Unfortunately i had a really bad experience with the shop i took my car to. My car was painted but was done really poorly and It took them 6 months! Clear code faded some how so some parts of the car appeared good and some parts looked like a flat red....... Also it looks like only 1 coat of paint was sprayed and there was a few spots small spots where i can still see the primer.

Here's a few pictures,

I was going to have my car done earlier in the year but things came up and i didn't have a time to work on my car. Its summer now and i am motivated and have time to start again!! Since i will have the car done all over again from scratch i thought i should go with some thing different. Inspired by GREENGOBLIN and Shrek's G35 i came to like the Porsche GT3 RS "Signal Green". Its definitely something different and i don't believe its done on a Z33 yet. Here is a few pictures of Shrek's Car, hope he doesnt mind me sharing these pictures.
