That plastidip stuff looks really good. I have my 350Z sign debadged but i wouldn't mind using it on the front and back nissan emblems. PLus I was thinking of doing the door handles as well!

Plastidip is great. I've used it on my past rides, just haven't got around to the Z yet.

I might try and dip my door handles/front reflectors (white) too.

Wouldn't the plastidip on the emblem peel of just like on the car paint?

I was wondering about the door handles. Wonder how well it would hold up against constant rubbing. I would be interested in the outcome if you do it.

I am going to be doing my emblems and door handles as well.

I might even end up doing my OEM rims just to check it out. I removed my aftermarket matte black rims for winters, but I miss the black rims. I checked out some youtube videos, looks fairly easy.

How did you remove the door handles? I was just thinking of using the plastidip with them on the car and just masking the area around it. And on top of that, I wouldn't have a clue about how to clear bra'ing them.

Can you capture that in a pic? I think I might know what you mean and didnt notice it on my car until now. Look at the above pic I posted of the burger - below the beginning part of the last 'N' it looks like it's dirty. I'm pretty sure the plasti dip did that. I haven't tried to scrape it, and probably won't since my car's black and I can get away with it.

chit man. maybe the age of the clearcoat affects how well the plasti dip peels off.

^^ oh if you meant you have chrome showing you should just be able to paint over that spot. At least that's what I've read. When you are done, run a razor blade (real lightly) around the badge for good measure. That should help when you peel it off. I went super slow too. If it grabbed the badge at all I would run the blade over it before continuing.

Good luck man. I'm doing my side badges this weekend.

Yea im actually having problems with the "350z" emblem. The edges won't come out clean. Everything else was perfect, just this last emblem is giving me problems. Any tips? The plasti dip should just be coming off smooth and in tact, but instead its leaving little pieces around the edges which leaves me to pick them away, unfortunately some spots will pick away some of the plasti dip on the actual emblem. Resulting in a re-do. What did everyone use to pick away at the edges?

anyone who tracks their cars should paint their headlights with plastidip to protect from road chips !! after tracking, they can peel it off!!
