Default right low beam not working on 06 Z

I recently got an 06 Z and for some reason my right low beam is not working. I thought it might be the bulb, but the high beam works just fine. I did some research and the car is suppose to have bi-xenon headlights. From what I understood, there is a lid that is closed when the headlights are set to low beam and when switched, the lid is opened to allow the full beam out. That's confusing me because I'm used to it being separate bulbs. Has anyone experienced this before or might know what could be wrong?

high beam and low beam uses the same bulb. by turning on highbeam, you are moving a shield (powered by a motor) downward to allow more light output.

I just looked at the headlights and they aren't the bi-xenon headlights. They are the 03-05 headlights. The car is an 06 though The only thing i could think of is the previous owner having swapped them for w.e reason or the paperwork being wrong and it actually being an 05 I guess that will save me some money though replacing the lights. Now I just need to figure out what the part number is for these headlights. I saw a site that listed H1 for halogen and H7 for HID. I'm going to take it out to see which one it is.

If you have hid lights..albeit from an 03-05, the low beam xenon bulb is a HID-D2R bulb, not an H7 like u posted...see here...03-05 xenon bulbs are all the same..http://www.modifiedlife.com/2003-nis...ht-bulb-sizes/
