lol@

Even if there is going to be a poly on the market, i bet most people will still go with fiberglass. In my area there are good replica's with 8.5-9/10 fitment that costs ~130 bucks lol

Benefits of poly vs fiberglass is durability. Exp: had a poly nismo frnt bumper on my G, hit a GATOR TIRE head on, on the freeway. Only damage was scratches. If the bumper we're fg, it would have been done

Exp 2: in n out of driveways in a lowered car is a *****. Always scrapping n bottoming out. My poly nismo took 4 years of abuse n only had scratches n minor spider web cracks in the paint

I know poly n fiberglass both have their share of pros n cons. But this thread is only to gauge interest iin a poly nismo v2 front bumper for the 350z, not to start a debate on whether which material is better

Just curious...who do you work for/with...? I have a strange suspicion about where this is headed but I'm hoping you can prove me wrong.

And identifying the company's name is not advertising and will not violate the forum rules.

I thought most of the V2's were poly? I PM'd a vendor about a poly V2 a while back and he acted like it was no problem and they had been selling them for a while.

Authentic and replica V2's are all fiberglass.

Poly is also harder to paint right.

Something you're overlooking is start-up cost for a poly mold. Not likely gonna happen/be worth it.

actually poly is easier to paint and the durabilty to cracks is a lot better.

I PM'd DTMAUTO back in august about some prices on the V2 front and sides in poly and he said they can get it in poly, it's just $20 more.

The only problem I see with poly is its flexibility in the splitter and canard areas. If that would be addressed I'd pay a little more for the poly.

The Shine version is probably the closest thing to Poly. Pretty damn flexible, but definitely not just $20 more haha.
