dash lights/ radio not working

dash lights/ radio not working
Today I was sitting in a parking spot and all of a sudden my radio shut off and my dash lights quit working. gauges work just no lights. everything is stock and i checked the fuses near the pedals and in front of the battery.
any ideas on this?
every thread i found was old and didnt have any solutions
