I have a 2003 Pearl White Z. Have a appoinment to get it tinted tomorrow. What shades should I go on it? I have 20% on one of the 300zx I got. So the law isn't a issue, Since I got a buddy at a shop to do the inspection. And in my city they don't worry much about tint. So what would you guys do?

Or If you got tint on your Z, How dark is it.

 

I did 20% on the back 3 and 35% on the side on the 05, my 03 has about the same but its getting re-done with 35% all around.

 

Yeah, I was thinking about 5% on back and 20 on front but might make it too hard to back up.... Not sure, My cousin has 15% + stock tint that is inside the window on his vette which makes it about 8% on front of his vette. And it looks so nice!

 

I used to do the all blacked out look, 5% on everything but windshield. No problem with it for years. I may even go no tint on the 03, but its slowly being turned into a track only play toy.

 

If "the tint law is not an issue" then why not 5% on everything? I have 5% on my back window and backing up is still fine.

I had 35% all the way around and ended up not really liking it. I had it redone 15% all the way around with 45% on the front (windshield) and love it. I've had 5% on another car and couldn't **** at night. Just my .02

 

I would do 20%

+1 on difficult to back up with 5% on the back

uhh if seeing the road and other vehicles is overrated.. why would you go for a lighter tint of 50%? Wouldn't you go for darker tints of 35% or less or are you just being sarcastic?

 

I have 30% on my PIKES PEAK WHITE Z,
and it looks good , at least to me.
