Default Got bored.. Decided to custom my Fairlady emblem!

Got bored at home waiting for my car to get back from the paint shop. Decided to paint the new emblem I got.

I had hoped the red would be a little bit better, but I made the mistake of thinking satin would turn out the same as matte. Also the color is more orange than red I think. Does anyone know where I can find a matte red for cheap? I'm going to sand, and repaint this weekend.

I think once it's finished with the correct colors it'll look pretty awesome on back of the Z!

Not feeling the red Z. I think I would make it all black.

I don't think it looks good in that color, and satin finish. But once its the correct deep red, in a matte finish I think it will look extremely good on my new white paint. I'll update the thread once I get the car back.

I went to autozone and bought the red automotive paint for my XBox case and it was a 2 step process of red base and clear coat and the red base was a good matte. It'll probably work for you, but I don't really like the 2 colors though IMO

Thanks for the tip. Looking at the picture honestly I don't really like it either, but from what I originally picture in my head I have to atleast go through with it to see the out come. Anyways thanks for the tip... I guess I'll try autozone or something this weekend!

Stopped by the paint shop. Car is 95% complete. Needs to be reassembled, and cut and buffed. Snapped a quick photo! Installed emblem pic this weekend!

Looks interesting, need to see it on the car. Where is Dada DoEE? I didn't know other places other than the states have Autozone, or did you somehow get a Fairlady Z into the states?

No red wheels. Not trying to color match match my whole car, that's a bit much. Just wanted a subtle touch on the car. Got the car back last night. Post a quick pic later when I have computer access.

Thank you. To be honest I'm kind of having doubts myself. It looks sort of cheap to me. I'm just scared to ruin my paint at this point when removing...
