Default Awesome Body Kit--Need information plz

Is anyone familiar with this particular body kit? In the picture they show the 4 basic peices, front, rear, sides, but this kit also supports 2 additionally priced fog lights and that sweet wing. It had been on ebay for about $1500 + shipping 2 months ago but i havnt seen it since. Thanks for whatever help i receive.

Ok, that helps a little, i was planning on doing the same thing as that black Z example, i wanted to keep mine black too. I was also thinking of doing the mesh screens like that one too, but now that i see his i and definately not doing that, looks horrible.

Anyone have any other information? Pricing? More pictures? Anything would be appreciated. Thanks.

Default hard to get

well the first thing i can say about this kit is its a pain in the *** to get. i have been trying to get one for about 2 and half months now and its still being held up. i will be putting it on a silver Z i really can't tell you much about it except i got it for $1740.00 full kit with fog lights. at CARISMA (it was one of the vendors on the vizages web site) if you didn't already know what the kit was you can see it at www.vizages.com i hope this answers your questions if you have any more i will hope to answer and take pictures when ever they feel like shipping my kit to me.

Well i guess because it is light and pretty strong at the same time. I've heard fiber glass is better than polyurathane because i guess polyurathane can melt (rear bumper by your exhaust is the common). But of course you could go with a carbon fiber body kit, which gives you street repuation and holds up against the elements.

There are many different grades of fiberglass. The types used by knockoff companies is usually of a very poor standard, hence the bad reputation. However, the types used by companies like ING's and CWest is of a much higher standard and far outperforms urethane (which is heavy and can be subject to sagging).

Your stock bumpers and aero kit are urethane. It is not heavy and subject to sagging if it is a high quality urethane. In fact, it will flex [if you happen to hit a bumper curb]. Do it with a fiberglass lip, then get out and pick up the pieces.

ther eis no universale "fiberglass is better than urethane". Gnerally speaking, urethane is FAR preferred due to its ability to resist a wide range of temperatures, and more importantly, remain flexible..especiall important fr a front bumper or rear bumper.

I would doubt that for $250 you are getting a genuine kit...that right there is a huge concern..It could easily be $1500 or more in prep work just to make a poor quality fiberglass kit ready for paint.......

I have no idea on the Vizage kit quality, but as I said......for $250 Id be very nervois and very scrupulous.

so far i only know of one person that has the vizage kit, and its the black one. i have been trying for the last 2 and a half months to get mine ordered shipped and though customs. this is beginning to be more of a pain in the *** then i though it would be. they say its factory grade fiberglass, and it couldn't be any worse then the veilside kits. since i heard those are cracking like crazy.

i knew the day would come when someone would put fog lights on a z. however, those are some pretty sweet looking wheels.

Yeah i have been talking to Roger (black Z) and he's been informing me on a lot of stuff about his kit and his car in general. I'm pretty sure im going to get the kit, $480 painted and shipped from China, i mean, being that i work 13 hours a week....i dont have money to throw around for a $3000 body kit. According to the supplier it is good fiberglass, they actually replicate the kits themselves and they arent a big volume business. Anyway you could get 6 kits for the 1 kit price. I'll have left over money for exhuast now.

I guarantee your going to get burned hard on this kit. Knock off kits never fit perfect and it will cost way more at the body shop to fit and paint (Z1 Performance is so right).

Ive seen nightmare knock off fiberglass kits over the years that are twice that price of this fake Vizage kit. These kits sometimes have a bad reactions with the paint, and most of the time have mass pinholes in them. Paint when shot on these poorly constructed kits will go though them causing bubbles and holes. They also never fit right or line up either.

Body shops have to do major preeping and then major modifying to get them to somewhat line up. The kit will cost you more then a few hunded becouse the kit has full front and rear bumpers. They never look right take it from experience.

I have friends that own Celicas who went this cheap route and they got burned. They bought Trd knock off kits, buddy club kits, etc, and they looked like crap in the end. They cost them alot to paint and prep. They either ended up ditching them or geting uranthane in the end.

Please from experience do not get this kit. Youll be thowing your money and the kit in the trash. If you do youll be spending mass money tying to get it to work. i wouldn't dont do it.

If you want a kit to enhance the look for your Z get a urathane lip from Greddy or Urathane Veilside version 1 lip. They are pretty reasonable (around $200-300), and are better for daily driving.

Fiberglass from any company will chip bad from daily driving (no matter who makes it). Just get a uranthane kit or save your money for the real thing.

Im just expressing this becouse I dont want to see a young guy get burned. Hope this helps you in making a sound decision.

Paul
