thats cool to know. no wonder its so hard to match.
and yeah ive heard about the paint cracking on urathane. which totally makes sense these bumpers really do flex. i had a six inch wide 2 inch deep dent in a bumper i got, used a hair dryer and poped it out. it looks perfect.

I had my LSS bumpers repainted and the color match was off enough it drove me insane! Color match as close as possible and minimal blend was what worked on mine.

i wasnt able to get any real light pictures. took these with my phone but it gives you a jist. i payed 1500 for the paint and install. that was discounted since he has done alot of work for me before. i went over the prep process and had him neglect small pits in the mold the size of a pin head along inconspicuous areas which would take a beating from regular driving. overall i think its more then worth it to leave the car with the shop.

Touching up the bumper on the Z takes a bit of minor paint blending to get it right.Overall,I've found the shade of paint on the bumper to be a bit darker than the regular body parts. If you buy OEM touch up paint from Nissan, you may have to darken it a bit.For silver/silverstone,its not too hard. You get into some of the "trick" colors like
the "orange"..."blue" it can be difficult. If you want to precise,a good paint shop can match the color seamlessly.

wow your car looks incredible hulk. lol. see what i did there. good eye with the gold rims on LS z im gonna do that color combo for my 18" track setup. the paint match looks dead on. ive found that the orange is one of the harder colors to see imperfections on. different lighting gives it crazy different shades from very light to very dark in shadows, so i think it will come out good. i will post it up in a week when it is painted.
the bumpers fit perfect i have a feeling only the absolute crap parts dont fit, and body shops claim they need a lot of work so they can charge more money.
and spray outs should be illegal. they spray over my factory paint AND clear no thanks i'll keep the perfect factory quarter panel paintjob so there is something to MATCH to. not blend and make my car 2 tone.

stop asking for opinions if you just turn around and already have your own. if you ask for help, take the help and say thank you, not retaliate because you think other's opinions are wrong.

'i need to get both my front and rear bumper painted should i have them paint match it? or just tell them to paint it the color code?
opinions on the 'color matching' methed.'
i believe was my original post. i am simply asking if anyone has had experience with their/ or a buddies bumper painted the color code, and whether or not it matched.and does 'tinting' or 'color matching' match either. not if spray outs look best. so when someone misreads the question asked and replies with unrelated randomness i choose not to thank them.
also i believe strongly that i am helping everyone and thier cars by bad mouthing spray outs on nice paintjobs.
