Default Gloss/Satin/Flat.going nuts..Need some input please.

Doing my headlight in a few days, have all the supplies coming (HALO, LED's, wireless control switch, etc.) But Can't make up my mind whether to go Satin, Flat, or Gloss black. It all looks amazing to me!

With that said I have a black ZR with black leather seats and plan on gloss black wheels with chrome/silver lip.

What do you guys think?

And I've read all the posts regarding painting the headlights. What was the final verdict on the heat of the projector melting the paint. Is high temp paint enough to deal with that problem? I may just leave that piece chrome like some others to be safe.

Thanks guys!

It's your car, you have to live with it. Don't let the "internet" decide what your car is going to look like. Go with the one that you like.

I think it might look kinda neat to be honest... Along with hot pink wheels. You'll be dikspeil's evil twin.

....Ya, pink! How could I have overlooked such an obvious choice!

I know it's my ride but I was just looking for a little bit of input from other Z owners out there.

Thanks for any input/experience guys.

....And is a light sand a good really necessary with primer? Just afraid of scoring the bezels even with light grit.

Mine are flat black and look good with my car(Carbon Silver). Gloss might blend in a little too much with a black car.

I have carbon silver as well, and did satin black. I would go satin/flat for a black car.

Btw, gvulakh, do you have any more pics of your headlights? I was thinking of redoing my headlights and painting the bulb housing as well like yours. Thanks, it looks great.

Thanks bro! I dug up a few pics. I would have left the bulb housing alone if I did mine. I traded a member straight up for my stocks and he painted the bulb housing like this. For some reason he also felt the need to paint the four little LED's and the turn signals blackThey look like shat when they're lit up.

Do matte or satin. If you do gloss/with clear coat chances are the paint will touch the headlight lens. Just like what happened to my headlights!

what do you mean touch the headlight lenses? I think matte is good for red/white/silver,etc. z's.... and i'm in between gloss and satin now. What happened to yours?
