What is this part called?
I'm looking into either getting this curb rash (from previous owner) either fixed or trying to fix it myself, but have no idea what to call this piece of plastic or w/e it is?

I believe It's a clear "bra" that comes from the factory over the side skirt. Not sure what else to call it. It's a stone protector basically.

It's not meant for sand blasting protection. I don't even know what you would have to do to only effect that one spot of the side skirt. 3M makes them for the hood/bumper. Not sure if they make them for the skirts.

Like I said, no idea how it happened, but I figured if it is just a painted film or whatever I could just order a new one from nissan, fix the paint underneath and put the new one on

Probably stick on like the ones for the hood. Clean up / paint the side skirt and apply the clear protector.

ya that was my original plan, figured Id just measure and cut one to be the same size/shape, figured it would just be easier if I could find one pre-cut

The dmg feels thru it, almost like a rock went through the top layer and just kept on going

That looks more like paint spray to me. Like if someone dropped a can of white paint and the PO drove through it.

A little goo-gone should do the trick if it is paint.

So you're THAT GUY that always ruins freshly painted lane lines? You should be ashamed.
