Haha!

I'd probably never do it, I'm just saying, there's nothing inherently wrong with it, it's just someone else's style ya know?

No sense in bashin' someone for what they like.

It's no different than a pair of shoes; just these shoes (Z's) cost a good bit more.

I will be coming out with a basic kit in a few months (I'm currently bogged down in the business aspect of things, so my current products are being held back ).

I say "basic", but it's still fairly advanced. Any color is possible (not just 1 or 7, like some other kits). Fade between colors, demo modes, etc.

I'm getting tired of saying "It'll be here soon", but dealing with the business side of things is a necesary evil (funding, accounting, manufacturing, etc.). I need a partner to take care of this stuff for me

i had the white "gold series" street glows under my car.

it took some work, but i completly covered the bulbs.

the white on lemans looked very nice, but sadly the rear bulb was somehow shattered at the track.
the bulb housing was fine, but the bulb itself turned into dust.

i ended up taking the whole thing off. dont think ill be putting it back on because im pretty sure it's gonna happen again.

what's wrong with underbody lights...i have them on my z and i love them. They give the car a nice look when they are on at car shows or just chilling in a parking lot with friends. I have them inside the car too and it looks really nice. I will post some pictures later. It's not rice...i think it how you use them.

Well..
It seems to me that if its a Japanese car it's "rice" anyway.
Or, if the underbody lights look cool, its ok.
It just depends on how you use them??
What way is cool and what way is "rice" ??????
Clue me in..

Car show, I can understand. Chillin in a parking lot with your neons on? wick Wick WACK. If you want nice ambient lighting, install neon or black light at home and sit on a nice comfortable couch.. hehe!

Some people are too into looking at their car. I'm with FlyByZ on this one, the Z has ALWAYS been a driver's car!

Here's a question (feel free to flame, what else is new):

Does adding underbody neon have the chance of transforming asian rice to a mexican rice? I was thinking about San Diego - a lot of the neon kits were on mexi-rides (ie dropped corollas on 13" daytons)... Maybe thats where some of the phobia comes from?

It really depends on how racist you are. Do you not like Asians or do you not like Mexicans? Or is it both? In my opinion, the word "rice" is derogatory.. but thats just me. I'm not asian, I am not mexican.. I am just an average dude who thinks its a silly word.

Oh well.. Poquito Mas still serves some really good Mexican food, thats for sure.

I agree with old_s13. "Rice" is very derogatory. A lot of the "Japanese" style cars are not made in Japan. And most of the "rice" aftermarket parts are not made there either. Even the style that defines "rice" was probably Mexican in nature. Maybe it was also culturized by some African Americans in the US.

It's asian rice or mexican rice depending on the car I think.

Old souped up crappy cars or low rider trucks or cars with sloppy, bright colors = mexican

Everything else = asian rice

And that was my 5 second break down.

ive got simple white lights for my PPW and it looks clean as hell, not a single wire shows. I only turn them on when I'm parked with friends somewhere. One of the main reasons people probably hate underglow is because everyone who installs them does a crappy job or has flashy colors etc.
