Default Oxidized or weathered rubber molding - Repairable?

Other than replacement, is their a solution to covering up or repairing weathered spots on rubber molding ? (Specifically at the base of the side door windows)
.
I have tried various "molding black" products with limited success.

If there are actual cracks in the molding, there are acrylic sealants available
that you can "rub" into the cracks.None that I know of will bring back a OEM
condition other than replacement. If its just "weathering",no cracks, just dryness&discoloring, the best stuff I use is AUTO GLYM RUBBER&VINYL TREATMENT.Pep Boys sells it or can be bought online.

ive always had fantastic results w Duplicolor trim black. Not sure what you used...You must remove the pieces or mask the living hell out of them.. and must use adhesion promoting spray. I always soften the rubber surface out w a coarse scotchbrite pad first too. Gets rid of shiny spots and lose material.

Made my Z32 look brand new.
