Just installed these took like 30 minutes mainly bc I did it by myself and it's cold. What a difference, to anyone getting these only get the upgraded one if you have a spoiler, I got those for a good price but now it needs a lot of force to close them which I guess is a good thing other then that which goes to how strong those are, they are great and would recommend to anyone out there. I actually had only one old strut that was shot so if anyone is looking for just one let me know ok.

I know this thread is old, but just letting everyone know I just installed these based off of this thread and they are awesome. Cheaper than stock replacements and stronger to boot. You do have to break the ball studs off on the hatch side to get a socket around the stud to remove it, which took some bending back and forth but after you get the stock ones off, the z1s go on quick an easy.
As a note, I had no help, just some vice grips and a stick haha!
The hatch does require a little extra effort to close, but I really wouldn't know how stock feels as the car came with blown hatch struts.
Thumbs up!
