Ya sorry bout the lack of updates.... i can promise this thread wont die, and even worse I know some of you are wanting parts.

kinda bought a datsun, and havent stopped working on it since. follow it as well!
https://my350z.com/forum/other-vehic...-roadster.html

fact of the matter is I just dont haz all the skillz i need to finish the way I want, or make parts for you guys yet.

dont want to ruin my reputation early on by selling half a$$ stuff. and I need more examples of my work before i try and actual make a biz. and honestly a couple years of practice.

I will pay up here soon so I can legitimately sell you guys some stuff on a small scale, or completely custom one-off items

can respect taking the time to get it right rather than rushing and putting out something your not 100% comfortable with.

nice datsun...looking for an old datsun truck or similar as a project.

btw.. want to get in touch w me about molding my Stainless shifter gate and perhaps making me a FGlas master mold?

Id gladly pay for that.. Id like to start selling them but think theyd be much nicer and easier to do in Fglass. I trust your work from what ive seen so far.. lmk on both topics

Definitely digging the design, now would that double as a handle for the passenger? If so how do you plan on reinforcing it?

tip toes by...... man this thread is like that bill you neglect to pay haha

it will happen.... my ideas and execution only keep getting better and better. so stoked for when I get back to it. Actually glad I haven't torn it up already.

but sadly I have classic fever now, and prolly wont come back to the z till the datsun is finished, have 2 of them at this point. Got an entire one off interior, dash, console, front/rear bumper all in addition to the frame off restoration.gotta pay your dues if you wanna be a builder

here's where im at on the dash project. i have yet to come up will a successful way to mold/reproduce it. don't really know how to explain it, it's really more or less a solid piece throughout and not a layered part, like everything out there. (my design flaw)

could make a two piece mold and inject it, but it would prolly weigh 10 pounds. more r&d needs be done

recently picked up a big air compressor, welder, and soon some vacuuming equipment, so ***** getting serious, im wrenching and fabricating almost daily now.

not to mention was bout to start putting my daily job to the side to building parts, then I landed huge client (hint:big name in aftermarket fuel systems, starts with aero_____ )

Default any updates?

I was just looking for a thread with ideas of how to paint, modify the center console because it chips so easily, mine's all chipped and dented. I wanted to see an effective way to paint it or something and saw this great thread, any updates on the topic, any recommendations/advice you can give me, I would really appreciate. Thanks in advance!
