OP why do you need to bring your political views into this question?
I also find your friend getting his car burnt to the ground rather hard to believe for multiple reasons, but you really have no reason to lie, other than to 'justify' yourself of course...
Either way, I think it'd be wise to leave all politics out of all posts unless it's in the right forum.

Put it on your window. When you need to take it off, get a bit of wd-40 spray it on, let it soak and wipe off with a paper towel to get rid of any sticky residue. Repeat as necessary till you get it all off.
