Question Carbon Fiber Front & Rear Bumpers??

Hi all,

will I have been researching the web for any acceptable looking CF front and rear bumpers. what I have came thru were non of what people really would buy. The only reasonable looking option was the Areosync front and non of the rear bumpers are acceptable cuz the only one I have found was some sort of a VS replica.

please let me know of any other option available for the 350z??

Thanks,
-Ahmad

This website has a few carbon front and rear bumpers:

http://www.extremedimensions.com/sho...cts.asp?page=2

I ordered from them before and the fitment wasn't exactly what I would call good. Some people have had better luck, I guess I wasn't one of the lucky ones.

Hope it helps...

I have had horrible luck through Extreme Dimensions. They sent me a front bumper that looked to be for a wide body setup and ended ordering the correct item elsewhere as they kept saying "that's the part number you ordered".

If you're going with carbon fiber, to get a full list of availability, just check eBay, as much as people hate it, the site has products from all over. EDIT:I'm not saying to BUY from these people or that I recommend their bumpers, but it would give you an idea of what IS out there.

Nismo V2 Carbon Front Bumper:

Top Secret Front Bumper:

Although I'm not a fan of Carbon Creations (extreme dimensions), the Nismo V1 front bumper:

Carbon Creations "Drifter 2" rear bumper:

Just to give you some ideas of what is out there.

thanks for the input MeinVinyl and 350eazy. The thing is I'm looking for some sort of a long nose front like the v3 nismo or the amuse one.
or if there are any other kits similar to them in.
or a source I can get back to, to list all the CF kits.
"It's atually my on going project "a full CF Z" I already have the TS style siebon hood, Asuka hatch, siebon CF doors, and the front fenders are on the way."

please help me deside which front and rear to go with to keep at least a good look to the car and to be one of the few Z's that are full carbon fiber body.

I've looked into this already actually. The problem you're going to be running into is getting different panels/parts from different manufacturers. The weaves may all be listed as 2x2 Twill, but may not have the same clarity or "perfect" weave. Seibon is one of the best at not messing up their weaves in the infuse process as well as Asuka. VIS has their good days and their bad. This will cause an effect that the body is not uniform and won't look the same around the entire car.

If you're looking for a longer nose like the V3, you may want something like the "drift 2" from Carbon Creations (again, not one of my favorite manufacturers) while VIS does a front bumper that is polyfiber with a carbon lip, but again, isn't fully carbon.

I still prefer the V2 style, but that's just me. Mainly because it can go with more styles of side skirts, but I like the over all style of it anyways.

Are you talking about doing a FULL CF front&rear bumper or just lip&rear bumper accents? What color is your car?I just cannot visualize FULL bumpers.

^^^ the OP wants a full carbon fiber bodied car..

not a good idea.

You will never get all pieces to match, and they turn yellow after 24 months my brotha, period. Even w UV clear coating.

Its also been done.. and is an extremely expensive way to make your car look fairly lame IMHO.

A long nose kit? Do you have any idea how extremely impractical they are to drive around town? They are for race worthy cars.. the streem Z long noses actually create aerodynamic downforce at normal race speed. ( Claimed) .

Sorry for downing on ya, but im tellin ya, get it out of your mind.. go onto something that wont ruin your pocket book or your car.

Also, if you want long nose looks, the kits you will want will be extremely expensive and should only be purchased as authentic.

Look up chebosto's car.
Look up Top Secret 2010 kit
Look up Ings Streem Z. ( reminds me of a slantnose 911..cool)
Look up Do Luck.
Be prepared to spend 2k on the front, 2k on a rear, and 1k for sides either way man.

I had my Seibon VSII for almost 4 years and it sat out in the sun a lot. Never even began to look like it was turning yellow.

You're actually linking someone to a bumper being sold on EBay from Shenzhen, China that costs $1,200, plus $489 to ship? Are you retarded?

thanks all . good info I have gathered from you. will the thing is I wanted to have a semi-one-of style that I rarely see. I'm not an expert in this field, and still learn from you guys.
The fact that I would have to pay 2K on a part that wouldn't do me any good power nor handling wise is completely unacceptable. "at least in my opinion" but it's that I really hate to let the z go. therefore, I'm trying to do that I haven't done in the past few cars that I have owned.

will the only thing that is left to do in body panels is to do a realistic CF vinyl overlay on the front and rear. and get the siebon or VIS sides to complete it.

what do guys think of that??
