I'm replacing the cubby and have had no problems removing the center console until I got to the center guages wiring plug. How do get that thing out? I have tried every way I can think of till my finger tips are raw! Is there a trick to removing that white plug?

 

The only trick is to squeeze the release tab. It's hard because if you are pulling on the center console at the same time, you're causing the plug to bind and making it harder on yourself.

 

You are exactly right sir! I got a little slack out of the wire bundle and it popped right out. Thank you so much!

 

next time try a small screw driver

 

Tried that but it didn't help. It popped out easy once I got some slack on the wire bundle. The problem was the bundle was tucked behind a plastic tab giving no slack whatsoever to the white plug.
