Bat's Smoked Taillight Overlay(PICS)
#23
Bat can we get a night pic with the rear lights on. And also a night pic with breaks pressed down. There are several members in the GA Z club that really like the overlays but are holding off until they see a night pic.

Hey Bat I have a ? How do you install these without getting bubbles in the overlay? Is it installed like a tint with soapy water?
I am very interested in the whole kit from front to rear, all smoke.
Do you have all of these ready to ship and can you give me a price with shipping to 28034. Thanks in advance!!

I really want to get the smoked taillights with the smoke overlays for the red bumper light overlays. Do you have any idea when your gonna get that out and get together like a pricing scheme for multiple item orders?

I have seen a very dark rear blinker/reverse light overlay (black) and a smoked (lighter) overlay. Whats the difference? I am looking for a medium smoke for the rear blinker/reverse light not an opaque black cover. Which is what?

The Overlay looks different under different lighting conditions. I like to say the smoke tint is a 6 out of 10, 10 being the darkest. Smoke reverse is the same tint as the turn signal, again, it's just the angle and light that throw it off.

Just throwing out an idea
Hey Bat,
This may be difficult... but how about something similar to this. I don't mean the tinted bubbling effect... I mean the outline.
Cuts may be difficult... but it sure would look pretty damn sexy.

I'm just brainstorming ideas...
Look at the first "before" picture you posted... due to the lighting of the pic, the left tail lamp seems to have more of a dark border around the tail lamp. Doesn't that look much better than the right one? Something to exaggerate that effect.
The big red tail lights are quite a contrast of color compared to the body.... i'm talking about a dark black border surrounding the tail lamp. Notice on the SLR how the red is contained in the middle (no red on the edges). I'll see if I can pshop something later to see if it looks good.

Bat,
I just sent you an e-mail requesting a whole set of smoked overlays, front to back.
I saw the rear bumper overlays in person on Jeff's car today at Performance Nissan........they looked just great........I couldn't tell they were not the real lens...........no bubbles.......smooth as silk.
Is there any sort of treatment that goes on the overlay to keep it flexible and ward off the effects of the sun?
I know installation instructions come with the overlays, but have you considered showing a step by step on your website like Insanemine did with his grounding kit? It may be helpful.
Thanks!

I bet I'd be pulled over if I had a huge wing on my trunk lid. Law says you aren't allowed to modify your lenses in any way. Buyer descretion advised. However, you see lots of tint tails that come stock on alot of cars. Alot of Euros have this look.
zxsaint-I can do that if we get more interest.
