So how do you wire the fogs in? The ones I am looking at are 12v / 55W. I want them to come on when I turn on the parking lights. I was thinking of just tapping into the small parking bulb, but I believe I will be pulling too much wattage from that wire if I do that.

I don't want a switch in the cabin - I made that mistake once and bought a lot of batteries because of it.

Shouldn't be too difficult to wire to the cabin. I'm thinking of replacing the blank by the VDC with another button. Perhaps get an extra from Nissan, keeping the interior stock looking. I can't see how it'd be a safety issue as long as it was done right.

Regarding the 5.5" Hellas...all I've been able to find that size are CATZ SR series.

If you are worried about them staying on b/c you forget to turn the switch off in the cab -- just wire the switch to the ignition (on/off). That way, they turn off when you turn the car off -- even if the switch is still on.

So, I know it looks cool, but does it actually improve the fog driving visibility?

Default hidfogs

just came back from CES. saw a few Zs there. anyway, here's the hella part#71456. it's 5.75" sorry bout the mistake!!!! it's available in H1 or H4. the oil cooler is relocated to the center radiator support beam with a homemade bracket. BTW my H1 hidset is up for sale when my new ones arrives. funny, can't seem to remember what brand it was, but it's a diamond white8000k. prolly sell for $300 local/pickup.PM

Fog lights are used to let other people see you better, not to improve visibility...

Really? I thought fogs were for your visibility since headlights are too high up and will reflect back in your face. the lower the better (theoretically) but beam pattern is probably just as important as height. and weren't companies using yellow fogs because the color is supposed to penetrate the fog better?

When is the last time you actually saw a thread on this website discuss safety improvements? This is all about style.

Hey Al, very nice job man!

Hey I'm just up the road from you. How much would it cost me for you to hook me up with the setup you have.

Aren't you guys worried that road debris might damage/crack the foglights? I have permanantly removed the 2 plastic pieces that are behind the slats when I installed the aftermarket grill. So I guess I have to think up some other way to attach the fogs.
