Visual mods...hmm?
You have hit a nerve.
My ideas hit a brickwall when I read,"nothing too flashy/that expensive"
Everything that I can come up with is FLASHY&CHEAP.
Flashy=cheap. But you can spend mucho bucks and still look flashy
&cheap.I could go on but I keep comin back with the same answer.

Don't get graphics. Don't wrap. Don't get ricer wings or ridiculous bumpers. Visual mods acceptable for a 350Z are as follows;
Nismo front/rear bumper
Nismo wing
Wheels
Wheel spacers
Slotted brake rotors
Aftermarket calipers
Exhaust
CAI (nismo, k&n, etc.) - arguably dresses up the engine bay and is therefore visual
Shorty antenna (inexpensive)
Nice lug nuts
Rear wiper delete (I hear it looks good, haven't done it to mine)
Buy some polish and get at those exhaust tips!
Replace worn/scratched interior/exterior molding
Last but CERTAINLY not least - detail detail DETAIL the car. You'll be amazed how much better your already good looking car can look after you spend 4-6 hours completely going through everything.
