Window Etchings! Need advice
Hey guys, I'm on week 1 with my 06 350z. I got the car for a great price and low miles, but there was 1 major flaw with the car. The girl who owned it before me had both side windows etched with a flower design.
I have been weighing the options and have come up with a few so far.
1. Replace the windows. Most expensive option by far obviously
2. Possibly tint the windows (really dark)
3. Have someone etch a better design to hide the flowers (similar to how a tattoo artist can fix a bad tattoo job)
The design is identical on both sides. Just awful
Hard to see it from far away and I always have the windows down when driving. It's a bit embarrassing when it's parked anywhere

your only real option, so yes replace asap
2. Possibly tint the windows (really dark)
that will only make it stand out more, so no.

that wont work either, its not ink and will make it loo worse if thats even possible

Good advice so far. Might have to bite the bullet and go for the total window replacement. My mechanic friends have never dealt with an etching either, so I'm out of luck there

"chic who did that should have stayed in the kitchen... "
Ouch haha. When I saw it for the first time, I thought to myself, "only a girl would do this to a car". It's like a slap in the face to all guys

Going to start looking at the new window installation prices around me tomorrow. The sticker/decal option isn't bad either. Thanks for the advice guys. I'll let you know how it goes and post some pics of the update.

The moderator picked up the error in the thread just before, so that's taken care of.
Haha thanks for the advice guys. I will definitely try the window crack repair resin then, before I commit to buying a set of new windows.
"$100 a side on ebay... replace that ASAP"
100 for replacement windows on ebay? I can get them that cheaply?
