Default Gauge pod plastic cover

Might be in the wrong thread, but is there a way to get rid of these smudges or whatever you wanna call it on the plastic lense?

I was installing an aftermarket head unit to replace the beat up looking Bose. since I had the center console all apart I decided to paint all the pieces (Satin Black). I noticed the lens cover for the pods (all one piece of clear plastic) had a bunch of "dots" of chemical over spray marks that had eaten slightly into the plastic. Got McGuires clear plastic cleaner and spent about 15 minutes rubbing in a circular motion on each of the three lenses. They are now clear as new. Good product. I was worried about making it worse because the replacement piece of plastic from Nissan is $248.00...and insanely stupid markup.
