Today I pulled my door switch covers off and re-vinyled them with some 3m matte black. (almost perfect match by the way) But I ran into an issue putting it back together on the passengers side. As you know you must take the silver bar and handle off before you pull the cover. My problem is the bottom 10mm bolt wont grab on to anything in the door anymore. I don't understand how it got stripped but when I look in there, it looks soo much bigger than the bolt and the bolt can actually wiggle up and down a good bit in said hole. Did I lose a piece or something? The other bolt goes in fine and the hole looks normal. I'm kind of at a loss for what to try here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The little clip on thread thingy may have fallen down below. I would check
Or your door panel may not be aligned 100%. Hence missing the threads when trying to screw the bolt in

I pulled the bottom of the panel back and felt in there and I didn't find anything that would make me think there is some sort of catch that fell out. Does anyone know for sure if there is such a thing in there? I would really rather not take the door apart if I didn't have to.
It also doesn't seem that the door is misaligned because all the other bolts go in fine.
