Default Red and Frost Combo Interior

A little background info:
I have a Chome Sliver z with a frost interior, I always wanted red seats and saw a few pictures of them on the site before I made my decision.
Only thing was I could not find a picture with a frost interior and red seats, only black. Well, here is the result. Just wanted to share it with everyone. It was a pain in the a$$ to install but I think it was worth it at the end. I was looking to trade someone with a black interior but nowthat it's in, I like it the way it is.
Also note that I installed the passanger seat first and it sat in the sun for a week. This took out most of the wrinkles. The driver side was just installed and has not seen much daylight yet. Wrinkles should be gone in a day or so once it sits in the sun.

Figured some will like and some will not, I may slowly upgrade to an 07 interior. When I do I will make the switch to black.

It looks good but yet somehow it seems a little like the colors don't belong together. I agree with the 07 black upgrade. Red is hot!

Its OK...so,so.
The red shade IMO is washed out,too light.
It should be a darker shade with more of a burgandy tone
to look good. You would have a richer look that would mesh
better with a silver car.
What are you asking?
You bought/installed the covers.
Too late now to send e'm back.
Got to live with what ya got.
Nice install by the way!Where did you buy your covers?
There is a post from a member wanting info.

The Red is a little darker then shown, I took it with the sun at it's fullest. Here's a shot in my garage. I do agree that a darker red would have been nice too. I just wanted to show what a Red and Frost interior combo would look like and feedback is welcomed. Positive or negative.

I think it is a mismatch.

I hated my frost interior, traded for a black

Loved the black ever since.

Holly crap, that looks like a lot of work. I thought putting on new seat covers was a pain but looking at what you did I am having second thoughs. May take it to a shop and get it professionaly redone.
I put up a trade at my local fourm a few weeks back for black interior with no bites.

I like it. It's a lot of red, but it's different which I like. With that being said, I would have opted for some mix of red and frost on those seats (like red accents).

I got the seat covers from link below, seats are 100% leather with perforated center. THe fit is close to 100% and came with the leather **** boot. I orginally wanted vinyle sides and leather center for durability but he ran out and gave me full leather for the same cost, which was real nice of him and saved me some $$$. On a side not, when I took apart the OEM seats I noticed the head rest/sides are not real leather. Just the side bolster and center. Everything else is fake leather.

He is also on ebay. Look for exotikleather. He has a good reputation and I did a ton of reseach before I bought. Compared to some of the pictures of aftermarket cover installs and a few looked saggy.

I think it will look great with a black interior swap but if you were able to keep them clean you should have went with white or a bone color leather. That would have been clean!!!

The seats do look good! You did a good job on the install!

Thanks, I think the trick was zip ties. I bought hogrings and hogring pliers and 10 mins of trying to figure out how the hell I am going to get this to work I decided I am going to try zipties. You are able to stretch the leather more since you can just hook the zips through and pull tight. Just my 2 cents. Like everybody else that has done covers, I thought it was a simple swap. 12 hours later and 2 bloody fingers I was done. Good thing I got red to bend in with the blood.

I wonder what the longevity of the zip ties will be?

Used heavy duty zips, I don't have any concerns that they will break and I got a much tighter fit then I would have with hogrings. It could be becuase of my inexperience using Hogrings but I like the way they came out.

This is my first step in upgrading my interior, been keeping a look out for 07+ door panels.
