Default First post! Need help with my broken headlights! 2005 350z

Hey there, fellow Nissan 350z/370z owners!

My headlights on my 2005 350z broke and cracked so I have to get them replaced. I ended up buying this fancy halo light, but it turns out it isn't compatible with my harness? Basically, the headlight plug doesn't match the wiring plug. The current and cracked headlights I have are Part # NZMNS111LANA , which I have no idea what it stands for.

Could someone please help me out? I'm pretty sure I purchased these halo lights:

Thanks!

I think your problem is that you have HID headlights on your Z. The lights you bought are only compatible with the Base models that have halogen headlights.

Ah okay, do you know of any good replacement headlights + bulbs I can get? I don't really want to buy off eBay, but I don't know any other places to shop online, and the Nissan Dealer is gonna rip me off if I go to them.

Just smash your plastics, put a flashlight in each light housing at night. Like a boss.

Cut the 6 pin harness off that came with the aftermarket headlights you purchased and wire the 8pin factory harness. . . it's no that hard.

The small halo wires and DRL wires will wire to the peanut bulb socket.
Turn signal doesn't need to be cut, just transfer it to the new housing
Ground from high/low will go together.
Wire high/low to correct wire
Extra socket from the stock amber lens will not be used, you can just cut it off and cap wires

Also silicon rubber backing cover onto aftermarket headlights. I would also silicon where the DRL wires go through the foam pieces and where the wires for the hi/low/halo go through the plastic

I ended up buying replacement factory Xenon HID headlights for my 350z and installed everything correctly after spending loads of time and money (~$800 for the headlights and bulbs.. they're not even fancy!). Everything works but the low beams, which was basically the same problem as before, only I have non-cracked new headlights.
I'm thinking, could this be the ballast problem? If so, should I just replace the ballasts? (Which'll be another $160-ish )

Edit: This might be a dumb question, but I've seen ballasts with lights attached to them. My headlight already has a Sylvania HID D2R bulb inside it, so what ballast should I exactly get?

Thanks!

Check to make sure they are even getting power(Fuse/wire tester)
If your ballasts are both broken I would go aftermarket, but the way I described is very easy. Took me about 30 min to do with my headlights(since I bought the same ones as you except smoked lens)
