Default Convertible top issue...

First off my apologies if this is the wrong place; haven't been active on these forums for a long time.

Anyway to the point ....'05 350Z convertible

The top has been giving me issues lately where when I try to close the top the last step where it is supposed to be pulled down tight to the tonneau cover stops. Up until recently it would take many many attempts before the lock would pull the top tight to the tonneau cover; now it just stops and nothing happens. Right now it is latched by the lock, but its about 2" from being pulled tight to the tonneau cover... Anyone have any advice how to get it to close completely? Or which part(s) I may need to replace?

Any advice appreciated. Thank you.

I read somewhere that there was a motor in the 3rd brake light housing (or above it in the top itself maybe?) That only operated the 4th bow... Apparently when it goes out, that causes the top to not have enough slack to make it all the way.... Google "4th bow motor 350z" and you should run across instructions on how to actually REBUILD that motor rather than replace it
