Default Shifter rattling

Hey everyone i just recently bought a 2006 350z, and at times my shifter rattles when driving above 60 or so. Is there a fix for this?

Have you removed the shifter surround and made sure that the shifting assembly is tightened down completely? Is it actually coming from the shifter and not just an interior piece that happens to be located near the shifter?

Some aftermarket short shifters have this issue.

Pull back the trim panel around the shifter and have a look. Post a pic or two, and see if one of us can identify if it's original or not.
