It was a job well done (not half-assed). The silver specks from the previous color I'm talking about are JUST inside the engine bay. The door jambs were painted perfectly as well. it cost me in total $1100 it was cheap because I have known the guy for a while and sent many people his way. ill post up some pics later on today of the door jams and the engine bay.

Good job!
Thanks a lot really appreciate the comment. DB was not my first choice either it was Redline but supposedly it would raise my insurance (I called my insurance and told me there was a good chance) and i did not want to take my chances. There isn't any CF just gloss black for the lip,side-skirts,rear add-on, and door handles. As for the diffuser id like to see it if you have any pics of it. Also, id like if you have any suggestions for wheels

seriously??

materials should atleast a grand or more for quality paint. the labor is what it is, if he gave you a deal, good for you. You aren't getting quality material at $200.

i'm also curious what the door jams must look like for it to be that cheap. A quality paint job would require that they remove the rear glass, which is really expensive. From the pictures, it looks good though. I'm looking at a $500 bill to paint just my front bumper and have the emblem shaved, so I'm curious if I'm just getting billed way too high or if you just got lucky. :P

your quote is fair if it is a reputable shop.

Yea serious. If you get technical, tape, filler, primer, etc etc it'd be more like 3-400~ish. etc. Depends o damage etc. and 1k for materials? Thats crazy. For something actually being driven on any road getting normal damage (even not daily driven ) is ridiculous to spend that just on paint.

I would agree... we paint z's for about 2500 and thats not even and color change, however they come out sick. What type of paint did they use?

Like everyone else is saying, some 06+ headlights, tail lights, wheels, and a antenna nub will make your car aesthetically pleasing to all.

Honestly it doesn't look bad, I think we're all just a bit skeptical about the quality for the price. People were the same about my depo headlight lenses though, and I've had them for a year without any yellowing, so it's not like speculation is always right.

Hopefully it'll hold up just as well. Looks good. DB is one of my favorite colors.

I don't get why people do a color change and go with a stock color..

My thoughts exactly...

If I was to re-paint my car I'd go with Lambo Pearl Orange but I'd prolly change my mind at the last minute and go Lambo Pearl White.

If you are happy with it that is all that matters. Looks sharp.

I have a ton of scratches on my car and I've thought about repainting it a different color and just leaving the engine bay alone since it's black and black engine bays go with any color.

IDK, if you like your stock color, but it's getting old/faded/etc I can see why you'd want a stock color. If you get a non stock color, the resale value goes down, and it makes it much harder and expensive to get body work done. Imagine your car is lime green, and you get into a fender bender. You can't pick up a front bumper from someone with the same color as you in the used marketplace, so you have to either go with a mismatching bumper, or pay extra to get one done in your color.
