Just picked up a very good condition INGS+ LX Sport body kit for my '08. These are the hybrid pieces, not fiberglass, and I've got some questions on how to prep them for repaint and mounting on my car. I paid $150 from a CL seller, and I think the fit should be great, as I saw the parts on the seller's car.
First, is there a chemical stripper I can use that won't damage the material the pieces are made from? I'd like to start from the original surface, since the paint on the front lip is peeling off in places (no primer, either), and it makes no sense to paint over that. The paint on the side skirts looks good, but I'd still rather start with a bare surface to ensure the best result.
Next, should I prime the parts, or just leave that for the body shop? If yes, what sort of primer should I use? Something flexible is needed, especially for the lip.
Finally, I'd like to fill the screw holes drilled by the previous owner, and use more suitable fasteners than the sheet metal screws he used. Regular BONDO suitable for filling screw holes? I'd like to use some of the Nissan OEM plastic rivets on the ends of the skirts and front lip, for a flush OEM look. Will 3M trim tape be suitable for holding the parts tightly in place along their length? I don't want to see a bunch of exposed screws every time I open the doors.
Thanks in advance for any advice you guys can offer. And, if you've got any pics of this kit on your car, feel free to post them up. I'm not using an INGS+ spoiler, as I've already got an EVO-R/Blitz on the back, and I didn't get the rear bumper valance with the kit.

Mine is a replica and the fitment sux on the side skirt. Front and rear fitment is on point though.
I don't know what chemical stripper paint shop use to strip off old paint but when I re-did my LX kit, I sand it down to the bare surface myself (forgot what grit) then took it to the painter and have them prime/prep for paint. I didn't know what type of primer my painter used as I wasn't aware there are primer that would damage polyurethane surface.

Since my painter/body shop did all the install/prep/paint work; I assume the front and rear is held on with 3M tape but there are a screw at each corner in the rear and side for it to be more secure. And I was able to reuse the oem plastic rivets too.
PIX of my car...
