So I got a fix it ticket for my tint a few weeks ago and he gave me a warning for having my plate in my window...also a few other car enthusiasts of mine have warned me about it as well.
But in about a week I will be putting on a new front bumper. Pic below
except I will be putting a black mesh grill in the front since I dont have an intercooler to shine off
Anyone have any suggestions on how to mount a front plate with ought drilling into the bumper???
Not sure how it would fit but you should check out the Stillen plate relocation bracket that attaches to the front towing thing (correct me if I'm wrong)
Until you decide how to mount it on your front end take it out from behind your windshield. If you get in an accident do you really want a loose piece of sheet metal flying around the cabin?

I've read some places where it's a sports car and if it came from the factory it don't have to have one. I may be wrong but i've had mine for a few and seen others with out front plate. and many cops pass me.

FALSE. No on believe this hillbilly.
Auto Zone sells a license plate bracket that mounts to the top inner part of your grill. Its $8 and can be angled for less JDM wind resistance.
I have the Autozone one on both my cars, works great. Only problem is it'll rust after a car wash, primer and paint or Plastidip it before you install.

The screws are on the underside and can't be seen. You're paying like 100 bucks for your fiberglass bumper, not like your buying the authentic $1200 version, not a big deal. Bumpers are expendable since they take a beating from daily driving.

I wish I was paying 100 hahah its looking like almost 6 withought paint
I was thinking this..... excuse my kid drawing ahah
but basically buying the one on orielys and mounting it to the mesh
My only concern is....will it bend the mesh? will it be too heavy for the mesh to support. and will the the wind pressure effect it at all

Im very well connected with one of SOCALs best autobody shops(many awards recieved also), and he said 100 bucks to paint and mount the bumper and a pair of side skirts. along with some other small things
Should I fork out the extra cash for VIS or just not worry about it with the ED since I know its going to be the same price?
The mesh would not support something like that, I would use something similar that Finalforce used where he mounted it upside down to the underside of the bumper opening
