Default Cleaning plastic gauges

The plastic over all my guages in the car is clouded pretty badly. It reminds me of clouded headlights.

They seem a little too thin/dainty to sand? Just buff them with a buffer and some plastic buff?

If anyones done it can you guys tell me what you did.

Much appreciated.

I would try some of this stuff:

http://www.meguiars.com/en/automotiv...leaner-polish/

I wouldn't attempt it without pulling the gauges out of the waterfall, though, as it will be tough to get the finish polished all the way to the edges, and you also don't want to damage the trim rings.

You should be OK with a microfiber cloth and just hand polishing, or you could buy the whole headlight restoration kit for a little more $ and get that foam polishing ball for your drill.

Without seeing the scope of the cloudiness to the gauge lenses, its difficult to determine
what to use. After using many products over the years, the best I've see, 210 cleaners&polish from Sumner Laboratories.I use their 210 cleaner&polish allthe time. They have a stronger cleaner available with additional abrasive.210 is widely used in aircraft
applications. It should be available online.I found it originally at a dealer that sold Lambos.
I'vre used 210 on my headlights since new.After 90k miles&over 10 years,they look new.

if you can remove the lens... wetsand with 2000-2500 grit and use plastic polishing compound.

^^^ That just looks like overspray of interior dressing that baked in the sun.

I had a similar issue with my center gauges, just bought some 3M Plastic Cleaner/Polish, used a microfiber towel and some elbow grease and the plastic cleared right up.
